Meet Dr. Pooja Garg, a board certified vitreo-retinal surgeon, providing her patients with compassionate and thorough eye care.
She is a native to South Florida, completing her high school at Pine Crest, receiving her bachelor's degree from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and her M.D. degree from the University of Miami. While in medical school, Dr. Garg was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society and received the Ophthalmology research and clinical award. During that time, she had the opportunity to create a nonprofit organization that provided healthcare outreach to other countries in the world. She completed her Ophthalmology residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Michigan where she was given the chance to train with some of the top retina specialists. After residency, Dr. Garg entered a two-year fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery and Disease of the Retina at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. Throughout her career, she has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications on ocular disease and has presented her research at local and national meetings.
